CHARITABLE PARTNER - MEMORIAL ASSISTANCE MINISTRIES (DONATE-A-TOY PROGRAM ON EVENT DAY)
Our charitable partner of the 2nd Annual 'A Charlie Brown Christmas 5K/10K' in Houston is 'Memorial Assistance Ministries'.
Spread the joy of the holidays on our event day by donating a new toy to the Memorial Assistance Ministries 'Christmas Share' program. They'll be on-site at the event collecting any toys you wish to donate. Their goal this year is to reach 650 children with families in need via the program (three toys for each child), so each toy counts! (Note: please no stuffed animals, board games, or computer games).
MAM’s primary goal is to help families overcome poverty by offering education programs designed to teach English and Financial Management, as well as help clients find new or better jobs. When families provide a financially stable home for their children, our neighborhoods become part of a healthier and safer community for all. MAM also serves as a trusted resource for our neighbors to volunteer, shop or donate to the resale store, and offer monetary donations. With your help, we will continue to improve the lives of families in need. Together, we are a caring community!
